Ten Years of Aistech Space: A Day to Remember at La Pedrera

Aistech Space turns ten this year, and we celebrated it with the people who’ve been part of the ride: our team, their families, investors, partners, and industry peers, all gathered at La Pedrera for a day dedicated to looking back and looking ahead.

Ten years ago, Aistech started with a simple but demanding goal: build a space company from Spain that could compete globally. Today, that’s a team of engineers, scientists, and innovators working on space-based data and connectivity solutions used well beyond our borders.

Looking Back Before Looking Forward

We opened the day with a walk through Aistech’s history: the early struggles, the technical wins, the moments things almost didn’t work out, and how we got from there to here. None of it happened alone. The people in the room made it possible — the team that’s stuck around for a decade, the investors who bet on us early, and the partners who’ve grown alongside the company. In a lot of ways, the whole event was a snapshot of the ecosystem Aistech has built over ten years.

From there, Marcos Urarte took the stage for a keynote on “A New World Order: Geopolitics and the Future of Europe,” unpacking how shifting global power dynamics are reshaping Europe’s role — a relevant backdrop for a company operating in an industry as globally entangled as space.

That set up a roundtable with Marcos Urarte, José María Pérez, Silvia Gamo, and Àngels Chacón, who dug into what these shifts actually mean for Europe: its competitiveness, its innovation strategy, and where it stands in the wider global picture.

What’s Next

Ten years in, and there’s still plenty ahead. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Aistech, with several milestones in the pipeline.
