JOB DESCRIPTION
The Agriculture Team at Aistech Space is looking for an experienced Agriculture Data Analyst to assist in the product development for agriculture. We are an Agile team, highly collaborative, and focused on short development iterations.
As a part of the Agriculture team, you will directly participate in meetings with farmers and companies to understand their needs and develop solutions accordingly. You will also work with the rest of the team to continuously improve the back-end infrastructure and help shape the front-end. In addition to this, you will collaborate with the rest of the company’s business areas to detect and cultivate new business opportunities.
OBJECTIVES AS A MEMBER OF THE AGRICULTURE TEAM
- Understand Aistech Space’s mission objectives.
- Be part of, and collaborate with, the applications development team.
- Collaborate with business development to translate user requirements into functional requirements.
- Definition and analysis of data for product development and improving current products.
- Write testable code, documentation, and presentations.
- Help reinforce the team skills and capabilities by mentoring colleagues, preparing workshops and training material.
- Develop solutions by integrating crop modelling and remote sensing technologies.
- Follow your curiosity to suggest new ideas to make our products and processes better.
OBJECTIVES AS A MEMBER OF AISTECH TEAM
- Actively engage in the development of documentation to build the company procedures and specification manuals.
- Write some articles regarding different areas of interest to be published in our magazine Aistech News.
- Participate in our team building activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Passion for space technologies.
- BSc/MSc in Information Technologies, Computer science, Agronomy, Biology, Environmental Science or related careers.
- Open-minded Data Analyst with 3 -5 years’ experience with proven developments.
- Strong knowledge and experience in R /Python / google earth engine for batch and customized spatial data processing.
- Experience with field data collection process and calibration.
- Experience in using remote sensing for agriculture at farm scale.
- Knowledge of open-source geospatial technologies (QGIS, GDAL, OpenLayers, Leaflet,…).
- Knowledge and experience of Crop modelling.
- Knowledge of thermal data processing for water management.
- Knowledge and experience developing software in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS is a plus.
- Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL is a plus.
- English speaker, at least First Certificate required.
